MEET TEAM SCORPION

INTRODUCING SOME OF THE SCORPION FAMILY COMPETING ON BOTH THE NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL STAGE…

JE ENDRINA

Je is a rising star in NZ bodybuilding. Je sculpts his body in accordance with scientifically proven methodologies, shear grit and determination, and of course the right supplementation. Je states that being able to drop body fat and maintain/grow lean muscle while cutting is what differentiates the pros from the amateurs in this sport.

“When it comes to training, I am all business. That’s my time, my zone!” Je mentions. “I do this for me!”.

Je places a huge value on diet and nutrition, and focusses on complex carb sources and lean proteins – especially in the lead up to his shows. As Je’s physique progresses, his lifelong mission is getting closer – to compete on the Olympia stage. A long time Scorpion athlete, Je’s favourite supplements are Sting Pre-Workout and Mass Attack.

Follow Je Endrina as he works towards his Men’s Physique Pro Debut.

EDEN MCPHILLIPS

There’s a couple things Eden knows a thing or two about: food and fitness. Originally from New Plymouth she now lives in Hamilton, and runs a raw vegan baking business – Garden of Eden Cakes, while also hitting the gym from time to time.

Eden started her business wholesaling to only a few cafes and delivering to people in the Waikato region, but it’s been so successful the My Kitchen Rules 2018 winner now has 15 cafe stockists and has launched country-wide frozen delivery.  So now everyone you can get a taste of her raw, vegan, refined, sugar-free and gluten-free treats!

Eden’s foodandfitness page has a huge following. Check her out on Instagram….

SHEA CROTTY

Shea is a talented sportswomen who played for the Canterbury Wildcats for 10 years and made her debut for the Tall Ferns in 2014. She went on to play 8 games in the black singlet and a whopping 150 in the red and black.

Shea is a tough competitor, and knows what it takes to succeed.

While still actively playing and coaching basketball, she has transferred the grit and determination that made her successful as the Wildcats captain over into the world of bodybuilding, where she has made an immediate impact.

If you’re not following Shea….you should be.

JARROD KENNY

Jarrod has play basketball professionally both here in NZ and overseas for the last 17 years. A qualified physiotherapist, Jarrod plays point guard, and stands 188cm tall.

Kenny began playing for the New Zealand Junior Tall Blacks in 2002 and went on to represent the New Zealand university national team at the 2007 University World Champs. He made his Tall Black debut in 2009 at the FIBA Oceania Champs, going on to represent the Tall Blacks at the FIBA Oceania Champs each year from 2012-2015. More recently Jarrod was in the Tall Black squad for the 2019 FIBA World Cup in China.

Currently playing in the prestigious Australian NBL, Jarrod knows the importance of preparation and recovery and uses Scorpion WPC, BCAAs and ZMAX to help maximise this.

MICHELLE MONTAGUE

Don’t mess with Michelle! She’s a multi-talented sportswomen who excels in both Rugby and Wrestling. A 4-time gold medal winner at the New Zealand Grappling Nationals, Michelle won the Oceania Championships in Tahiti in 2017, followed by the Commonwealth Champs in South Africa. This qualified her for the Commonwealth Games in 2018. An injury prevented her from competing that year unfortunately.

Montague now juggles her wrestling career alongside the demands of rugby. The combative loose-forward has been playing since she was four-years-old and has become an integral part of the Waikato side.

“The wrestling makes me better in contact, and then all of the rugby and conditioning makes me a fitter athlete.” She still has aspirations of making it to the top in her other chosen sport. “A goal since I was about four-years-old was to be a Black Fern, and that still hasn’t died either.”
