My favorite supplements have to be Scorpion Whey Protein Concentrate, Scorpion Casein Protein and BCAAS. I use Scorpion Whey to make a protein packed porridge with fruit and peanut butter in the mornings, mix it with Greek yoghurt and have it as my post training choice of fuel! I have Scorpion Casein protein in the evenings, this is so that I don’t wake up hungry when I get up at 5:30am for training, it works wonders and I can make a pretty good dessert with it too. BCAAs are my everyday go to! I either have it post workout or during my workouts to keep me hydrated. I do a lot of high intensity training, so it works well to push me through those tough workouts.
I am a big health nut and always eat clean (95% of the time!). I believe nutrition is so important for not only our physical well-being, but also for our insides and mental well-being. Food is underused supplement in my opinion, you get so many benefits from eating lean cuts of meat, fibrous veggies and super fruits! Not to mention eating clean helps keep me at my optimal performance for race events. It is also another way I am currently trying to improve my body composition!
I have recently just moved back from Auckland to my hometown Christchurch. The reasoning for this is I want to spend more time with my family, smash goals and take my racing career to the next level. I am currently in my final year of my marketing degree and I am looking forward to being done. I have aspirations to keep overseas in the very near future and I am excited for what my future is looking like.
I have been competing in motorsport since I was five years old, beginning in Go-karts. From there, I caught the adrenaline bug and have moved through the speedway ranks, which includes: Quarter Midgets, TQ Midgets and my current division, Sprintcars. I have placed in a quite a few nationally ranked events such as winning the New Zealand CTRA Sprintcar Championship, placing 2nd in the New Zealand Sprintcar Grand Prix and winning the Canterbury Championship in my rooking season. I have also had a successful run in TQ Midgets placing in the New Zealand TQ Midget Championship, winning the New Zealand Grand Prix and winning the South Island Championship.
My goal is keep getting better, pushing my body to new limits and enjoying what life has to offer. I am currently in my off season and am trying to get in the best shape of my life before the start of next season. If I see you at a track, please come say hey!
